Chapter 41
Veils of Beiping Novel Chapter 41
Jane opened her eyes and sat up suddenly. The bedroom door was still ringing.
She went down and opened the door, and Aunt Li was waiting outside.
Jane pressed her forehead and asked, "What's the matter?"
It's just dawn and it's not time to get up yet. But maybe there's something urgent at the hospital.
"Mr. Cheng, phone number." Aunt Li said.
"Who called?" Jane asked.
"Tu Mansion." Aunt Li replied.
Jane immediately woke up for the most part.
She hurriedly pushed open the study door connected to the bedroom, went in, grabbed the phone receiver on the table, turned the latch, and said, "I'm Jane Cheng." She turned her back to the door, her long messy hair hanging down. There was sweat on his forehead.
Suixin, or Qiuwei?
No one answered her, the receiver was very noisy, and it was obvious that there was chaos over there.
"Hello? Hello?" She shouted into the microphone, but still no one answered.
She turned around and opened the door, called Aunt Li and said, "Get the car ready."
"Yes, sir." Aunt Li went.
Jane returned to the room, quickly changed her clothes for going out, picked up her spare medicine box and went downstairs to get in the car.
"Tu Mansion," she said, "quickly."
The car sped away.
Jane's heart was even more anxious than the car. The noise from the phone receiver is still in my ears, and I don't care about anything else. Whether Qiu Wei or Suixin is in trouble, she must rush over...
The door of Tu Mansion was closed, and there were no soldiers patrolling outside. Jane felt a sense of relief in her heart: at least this meant that there were no other big shots in Tu Mansion at this time. She immediately shook off the thought and almost trotted through the door.
As soon as the Tu family's servant saw her, he notified the housekeeper.
She couldn't wait for the housekeeper to come down to pick her up, so she rushed upstairs. Halfway there, she saw the Tu family's housekeeper.
When the housekeeper saw her, he said: "My wife just fainted in the bedroom. It was Miss Suixin who asked us to call you to inform you..."
"Let me take a look." Jane heard the butler's hesitation. It turned out to be Suixin?
People gathered outside the door of Qiu Wei's bedroom upstairs. Apparently the mistress' accident made them all nervous.
Jane saw Suixin first.
The pale-faced Sui Xin was standing in it wrapped in a long sweater, holding a little boy who was a head taller than her but looked much more childish than her... The boy seemed to be trying to gain the wings of a tiger, blinking. She has big eyes that flicker, but her face looks confused, which is very cute.
Jane passed by them and smiled at them, then the housekeeper opened the door and let her in. The heat and the strong smell of blood hit her face, and Jane immediately closed the door tightly. The room was dark. Jane walked to Qiu Wei's bed and looked down at her.
"Qiu Wei?" She called Qiu Wei's name softly. A slightly cool hand covered Qiu Wei's hot forehead. Qiu Wei seemed to be refreshed when she was in coma, but she still didn't open her eyes. She just moved her hands randomly, and miraculously grabbed Jane's hand accurately, followed by a difficult breathing... …"I'm here, Qiu Wei."
Jane had to let go of her hand and carefully lifted the quilt. There were pools of blood on Qiu Wei's pajamas that she hadn't had time to change, and on the sheets underneath her. The moist and hot breath hit her nostrils, and Jane was suddenly startled.
