In the early morning, thick fog filled the air, and the Benin Hospital on Kadderley Avenue in the French Concession had not yet opened its doors. A group of people waiting to see the outpatient clinic had already gathered in front of the door.

A black figure came out of the car and walked straight to the elevator in the center of the hall with steady and elegant steps.

At the door of her office on the fourth floor, the female secretary who was already waiting for her smiled and said "Good morning, Dean", opened the black wooden door, and took the bag from her hand.

"Morning." She said and walked into the office.

There was a cold, damp smell in the room, mixed with the smell of Lysol.

She slowly took off her gloves, revealing a pair of slender white hands.

Pulling out the two thin hairpins that held the hat in place, she took off the hat from her head and placed it on the table along with her gloves.

She walked around behind the desk and stood in front of the window - the thick fog showed no sign of dissipating. From here, the dense branches and leaves of the tall plane tree almost touched the window. She stood silently for a while, then turned around and walked to the clothes rack, took off her coat and put on the snow-white doctor's gown. The somewhat stereotyped white robe, with its exquisite tailoring and just the right size, not only did not cover up her beautiful figure at all, but within the rules, it made her even more calm and bookish.

She looked at herself in the mirror.

Behind the gold-rimmed glasses, there are fine lines at the corners of the eyes when you smile.

She was no longer in trouble... She looked in the mirror and rearranged her bun. Make sure not a stray hair hangs down.

With a "dong dong dong" knock on the door, the female secretary Mei Yanchun came in and said: "Dean, it's time to go to the meeting. The directors are all here today and want to see you."

The look in her eyes showed she knew.

The bell rang at this time, it was already eight o'clock in the morning.

Although she couldn't hear the sound of the hospital door opening, she could still imagine the noisy footsteps of the people who had just gathered in front of the hospital building waiting for the door to open... She felt a little excited in her heart, and she hoped At this moment, I am sitting in the consulting room. However, the first thing she has to deal with right now is the hospital's board of directors. In the words of the former dean, they were a group of troublesome guys.

"Xiaomei, it's been two weeks since I came here, right?" She asked the secretary who was following her when she walked out of the office.

"Yes. You haven't had any rest for two weekends." Mei Yanchun is a pretty and charming woman. She smiled, walked quickly, and opened the door to the conference room for her. The conference room was already full of people. Seeing the lady, the men all stood up.

She walked to her seat, nodded to everyone, and said softly: "Everyone, please take a seat. This is the first time we meet. I am Catherine Cheng."

She speaks fluent English with almost no accent.

Mei Yanchun stood at the door, watching Catherine Cheng begin to preside over the meeting calmly, then slowly withdrew and closed the door of the conference room. She knew that this was not a simple meeting, but would determine the future fate of this hospital... Can this beautiful lady, despite many difficulties, do what the previous director failed to do? Everything is unknown.

Anita Mui sighed.  Suddenly, the sound of a car startled her.
